SWAMI GenoType® is a diet analysis and reporting software programme written by Dr. Peter D'Adamo, developer of the Blood Type Diet and the GenoType Diet systems. It uses genetic markers taken from biometrics (body measurements), dermatoglyphics (fingerprint patterns) and serological (blood grouping) tests. SWAMI GenoType allows a patient to receive an individualised report giving detailed recommendations for diet, lifestyle and exercise. It is like having a book written for and about you personally.

The Basic GenoTyping Plan includes:
• ABO Blood Grouping with A1/A2 subgrouping (for blood groups A and AB), and Rhesus (D);
• Secretor Status (via Lewis blood group testing) - salivary secretor status is necessary for Lewis negative patients, and is charged extra;
• Bioimpedance analysis of body compartments for Intracellular and extracellular water, fat and body cell mass;
• Fasting breath hydrogen assessment for assessment of intestinal bacterial overgrowth;
• All biometric and dermatoglyphic measurements necessary to determine your GenoType;
• Current drug intake (to emphasize in your diet plan those nutrients depleted by those drugs).

You will receive a personalised GenoType Diet report detailing foods categorised into Superfoods, Neutrals, Avoids and Toxins. Category portion size and frequency can be adjusted according to your needs and requirements. Foods that combine to enhance a particular aspect of your genetic needs are detailed in Geno Harmonic foods.

Your details will be stored on the software so that if any information used for the GenoTyping report changes (e.g.after significant weight loss), or with additional new information (e.g. new test results), changes can be made to update your details and produce a new report. This ensures you will always be following the most appropriate advice for your current circumstances.

• Homocysteine blood test;
• Thyroid function test;
• C-reactive protein blood test;

Also available for home use is SWAMI Xpress™, Dr. D'Adamo's single license consumer GenoTyping software carried out over the Internet on a browser. To use SWAMI Xpress™ you will need to know your ABO blood group, Rhesus group, PROP taster status, and be able to take your body measurements and determine your fingerprint type.
